Day of work

I fed Isabel some rice cereal before I left for work this morning. She is really getting better with eating rice cereal. Most of the food goes down now, there's only small amount of food that comes out of her mouth. She is too cute! I hate to leave her but I need to go work. I'm so blessed to have my mom watch my baby, I don't need to worry about anything.

I arrived after 9am at work and all my patients were still in bed and not ready. What's great though was that they were all willing to come to therapy when I did my rounds. All of them were pleasant and cooperative. That makes it a whole lot easier to work on a weekend.

Today, our friend Rey, started working on our heater, hopefully it will be done by tomorrow. So grateful for friends like him and Arturo. They are kind and always there when you need them.

Isabel's ears pierced.

We got ready early today to go to the store to buy Isabel's earings and to get her ears pierced. My mom bought Isabel's Christmas gift-her earings. I'm so excited to see them on Isabel's ears. They'll look great on her.

At piercing pagoda, Blair held Isabel as the girl tried to put marks on Isabels tiny ears. Oh boy, when she's getting ready to pierced Isabel's ears, I didn't even want to look at her because I know it will be painful. The girl pierced the right ear first, then the left and there goes my baby's tears, it makes me want to cry. But she a tough one, she just cried a little and is happy again after a few seconds. She look even more beautiful with earings on, Oh I'm so excited!

I'm pretty happy and excited because we're able to get some Christmas shopping done today. All the store were packed today, it's crazy!

I took pictures while Isabel is getting her ears pierced.

Thankgiving Day!

We celebrated Thanksgiving Day at my Aunt's house this year. We had so much food tonight. We had kareoke going around the room and tried to make Blair and Jared sing even one song. Unfortunately, we failed ... I wish Blair would have sing even one song because he can sing. I love listening to him.

Once again, my little princess is very busy looking around tonight. She showed everyone one trick she learned from my parents a few weeks ago, using her tiny hands. She would open and close her hands, If you tell her to open and close them....it's too cute. Isabel and AJ is too cute, they just stared at each other all the time. AJ is now learning how to walk, but her mom said that AJ would end up crawling most of the time.

We went home early tonight so I can feed Isabel, she's always so curious and busy watching every single thing around her that she doesn't want to finish her bottle after eating some.

Early today, Blair called our family from Idaho via Internet. I don't look presentable so I was hiding myself but I was watching everyone. I saw Tyler, Brett and Lori's youngest child. He's so big now. He's only 6 months when Blair and I first saw him. He is such a good baby, very laid back, always happy. He is so handsome too.

I'm so happy and grateful for all that I have in life. I'm grateful that Heavenly Father blessed me with such wonderful and loving family and for giving me the Gospel. So grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ, for His atonement and for the knowledge I have that I will be with my family for time and eternity. I wish I could share this great blessing with all of my friends and people around me.

Mom's Doctor's Appointment

Today mom had her doctor's appointment with the Endocrinologist. The doctor discussed with us her current lab works. Her thyroid hormones level is low at this time compare to being high last time. The doctor ordered for another lab works to be done to see if she needed to go under Radioiodine therapy. I did some research about this and talked to people who had this procedure done. I learned that this procedure may affect her blood pressure level, cholesterol level. Also, I learned that she can't be near children even more babies. So I asked the doctor all about the possible side affect of this treatment. The doctor explained that my mom will only be getting a small dose of radioiodine therapy and should not affect her blood pressure and Cholesterol level but she will continue to monitor them closely. The doctor said that she can't carry Isabel for 4 to 5 days though. She is very sad to hear that.
I hope and pray that When her doctor call us about her lab result that all will be well and that her thyroid hormone level is back to normal.

We are in Alaska

We are not really in Alaska but it sure feels like we are there. Our heating system broke down and at this time we are only using a portable heater to keep ourselves warm. We have been hanging out in our bedroom because it's too cold for Isabel to be downstairs. Our friend will be fixing it sometime next week. I'm so glad we have friends who's always willing to help us with our problems around the house.
So tonight, we had our family home evening in our bedroom. We had a short lesson about family and sang some hymns. Isabel is so cute. She loves it when she hears any kind of music. She gets very quiet and just have this big smile on her face. She makes us all smile and forget about the problem for awhile.

Today, Isabel had some rice cereal....she loves it! She ate about half tablespoon of rice cereal and finish the rest of her milk.

AJ's 1st Birthday!

Tonight is Alexis Jeanne's 1st birthday party, my cousin's daughter. It was a big party. AJ is so adorable! She's like a celebrity, her mother bought her two dresses to wear that night...it's too cute! A lot of people came and the placed was really packed. It was fun to watch the kids who participated in the games. Isabel is so cute, she's very busy looking around. She is very friendly, always smiling to whoever talk to her. One of the guest saw Isabel tonight, and admired Isabel's beauty so much that she recommended her 2 month old baby boy to be Isabel's boyfriend, I just thought it was too cute. Then an old friend's wife said that Isabel caught her eyes when we first came in and said that she looks like a porcelain doll. She is a hit tonight! We took a few pictures at the party. Enjoy!

What a great surprise!

I started cleaning the house early today. I want to get some stuff clean and organized around the house so when Blair gets home by the end of the week....he will be surprised ( we are still working on the house) . Also, I want him to be able to relax because everytime Blair comes home from those training...he's very tired, sore and exhausted. But guess what, I was the one who got Surprised....He came home today....unexpected but I am so happy to see him. It's only been two days and one night but it seems longer than that. They had to come home early because two of the guys got hurt. Hope they will recover soon.

Also, today Isabel had some carrots. She didn't like it as much as she like mashed potatoes. But, oh boy, she is so cute! Her face is just adorable.

Blair is going out to sea for a few days

Today Blair left early for work. He will be gone for a few days. They are going out to sea. I know this is part of his job but this is one thing that I will never get use to. It's not the same when he is not home. I am so glad that I have my baby, my parents, my extended family and friends (in and outside the church) around the area....it's a great blessing! I usually keep my self extra busy when he is not home so the time will pass by quickly.

Cape Henry Primary Presentation & Family Home Evening

Today was our ward primary presentation. I was very worried and nervous. I was worried that the children will not be present or will forget the words of all the songs or will totally forget their parts. But I was very surprised even more with the sunbeams and CTR 5 & 6. They have memorized their parts and have spoken it very loud and clear. I am so proud of them. All the children did very well with singing all the primary songs and reciting their parts. The three children who gave talks did very well as well. Parents were very pleased with their children, they've enjoyed the primary presentation. We prepared a cake for all the primary children today to celebrate how well they did with their presentation. I am grateful for my calling...but I still have so much to learn! I love all the children...each of them teaches me something new and special and helps strengthen my testimonies in the gospel.

Tonight, we started our Family Home Evening. I am so happy that we are able to do it again. We had a short lesson on how having family home evening can strengthen our family and will help us to get closer to our Heavenly Father. It was nice because we are able to share one another's thoughts and feelings. I am looking forward for more family home evening. Also, tonight we started our family scripture reading. I'm so grateful for my family and for their great examples. So thankful for my husband and for my daughter...they gave me great joy in life.

Isabel had some mashed potatoes!

Isabel had her first taste of mashed potatoes today. She is so cute....the faces she made are adorable! She doesn't quite know what to do at first but she had it figure out.We took video from Blair's phone because our camera and video cam are nowhere to be found. Anyways, Isabel loves it! She gets angry because we are too slow. We'll post it sometime soon.

Beth Sholom

Today, I stopped at my old working place to drop off some thank you cards and grab the rest of my stuff on my desk as well. It took me longer to get to Rehab Department. People stopped me at the lobby. Everyone is very excited to see me, it was very nice. They're looking for my baby, but it's raining hard today so I decided to not bring her with me...I don't want her to get sick. I brought pictures of Isabel for them to see but they insisted that I should come back next time with her. I surely miss working there. I love all the people I used to work with, but I will never trade the time I have now to be with my daughter. It's so nice to be able to set my own working schedule.

Isabel's 4 month check up

Today Isabel had her 4 month check up. I dreaded this day because my poor baby is getting her shots. I was hoping that we'll get the same nurse that gave her the shot the first time (2 month check up) because she's good but unfortunately we had a male nurse this time. He's pretty slow too, so I can imagine the pain my baby felt. It's not fun to see my baby cry but I'm very grateful that Blair was able to come this time. Isabel stopped crying immediately after her father held her. She is a tough baby. We gave her some tylenol to help ease the pain. Next visit, I will make sure to request for the female nurse. Over all, the doctor is very happy. She said that Isabel looks great! We could start feeding her some food now....pretty excited about that. She is now 12lbs 1oz and 251/2 inches long. She is a lot of fun....she's a chatter box.

We went straight to the commisarry to check if they're open today. Luckily they were open on Veteran's Day. As we were parking, I saw my friend Christy and her father putting their groceries in the car. She was happy to see us especially Isabel...unfortunately, the little princess is asleep. So nice to see her again. We're so glad to get our grocery shopping done today. We went home, put the grocery away then left the house again to meet my parents for lunch. At the restaurant, there's two filipino little boys, kept dragging their daddy to see Isabel. Actually, it's the younger boy who keeps dragging his daddy towards Isabel and kept saying...daddy..daddy..look baby! The boys father I think is a little shy and tried to keep the two boys away from coming closer to us.....they're so cute! On the way out, Blair stopped by where those two little boys were sitting to say bye...Isabel gave them a big goodbye smile.

I made some fruit salad to bring over to churh for Enrichment Night. Tonight we had a little role play and had a small part of it. The main message tonight was about Visiting teaching...I have to admit I have to do better. I'm so glad I came tonight (I almost stayed home because I am not feeling very well) because I learned a lot and the spirit was so strong. Plus, It was a lot fun! We had a special dinner served, we had too much food. Also, I got some free clothes for Isabel too :?) I got home and my little angel is asleep...her favorite spot...daddy's chest....so glad she's doing well from her immunization this morning.
